N + B Engagement Session

Last year, Megan and I had the idea that we needed to set up a styled shoot to be able to test the waters of styling and event designing. We had collected for months, shopping at thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, and needed somewhere to be able to use all of our hidden beauties. At the time, I lived with the fabulous Jennefer Wilson and she kindly offered to help us in our pursuits and shoot it for us. We had the opportunity to style a few shoots with some clients of hers a few months back  For this one, it just so happened that Nathan was also planning on proposing to Brittanie (okay, that sounds so weird because everyone calls her Britty) and so this shoot was the perfect timing to be a little tricky and have a surprise proposal. We had a blast designing and making our styling debut, AND felt extra special getting to be a part of such a special day. The inspiration here was the beginning of summer, at the end of spring, a time when everything is green, bright, and begging you to just sit outside and drink a glass of lemonade, or in this case, facny bottled lemon San Pelligrino. :)

Makes me want to have a summery dinner tonight. :)

Calligraphy

I recently took a calligraphy class in Dallas at Calligraphic Arts Design Studio. It was seriously so much fun. Definitely A LOT, like A LOT harder than I thought it was going to be, but I keep catching myself daydreaming about writing each letter. Kind of insane. If anyone is looking to take calligraphy lessons, I highly recommend Calligraphic Arts. The owner Susie-Melissa is an absolute sweetheart, and if she has enough patience to teach me, I guarantee she can teach anyone. :)

Obviously, I'm still in the practicing stages, but soon calligraphy will be another service that Oh Deery offers. We're pretty excited!
